Gay-themed Portuguese drama centred on the life of poet Al Berto (Ricardo Teixeira).
In 1975, Al Berto returns to his native Portugal after spending several years in Brussels, training as an artist.
He quickly settles in a mansion that was taken from his family during the revolution and ingratiates himself with members of the local artistic community who come to stay with him.
Amongst them is João Maria (José Pimentão) who becomes his lover, to the consternation of the many conservative locals.
