Hairstylist Gina (Latifah) is a long way from the barbershop and has made a name for herself at a posh salon with her cutting edge hairstyles. But when her egotistical boss, Jorge (Bacon), takes credit for her work, she buys a rundown salon of her own full of employees and customers more interested in speaking their minds than getting a cut.
