Yoshihiro Nishimura's duo of films is set in a post-apocalyptic Japan, and follows the bloody exploits of Hard Revenge Milly (Miki Mizuno), a normal woman who is transformed into a sword-wielding angel of death after her husband and daughter are slaughtered in front of her by a gang of vicious gangsters known as the Jack Brothers.
Under the tutelage of her wise mentor Jubei, Milly sharpens her fighting skills before venturing out into the dystopian wasteland to settle the score.
