King Kong DVD
Within uncharted regions of the South Pacific, a ruthless oil executive and his crew are on an expedition. Their mission is to find unexplored territory in hope of exploiting its resources. What they find is the legendary Skull Island. Upon arriving on its shores they discover a strange and primitive world of mystery and danger, a place that very few explorers have managed to survive to tell the tale. For legend has it that on those very shores, the natives worship a giant ape god named Kong, a wild and savage beast that can only be appeased by human sacrifice. One of the first "event movies", this 1976 reworking of the classic monster adventure story that was the most expensive film ever made on its year of release. Starring Jeff Bridges and Jessica Lange in their first feature film roles, it also features an unforgattable score by legendary composer John Barry and Oscar winning special effects by Carlo Rambaldi (E.T. the Extra - Terrestrial, Alien).
