Feature-length BBC docudrama based on the last years in the political career of British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. It is 1990 and support for Thatcher (Lindsey Duncan) within the government is beginning to waver. When long-serving politician Geoffrey Howe (John Sessions) resigns over Thatcher's attitude to Europe, his resignation speech sparks a chain of events that ends with the dramatic downfall of Britain's first female prime minister.
