The Audition DVD

Ina Weisse directs this German-French drama starring Nina Hoss. The film follows violin teacher Anna Bronsky (Hoss) as she prepares promising student Alexander (Ilja Monti) for his end-of-year exam. However, Anna's relentless pursuit of perfection leads her to neglect her husband Philippe (Simon Abkarian) and ten-year-old son Jonas (Serafin Mishiev), with tragic consequences.
