Ravn is a surgeon working in the Emergency Department, happily married to his beloved wife Vilma. But when Vilma contracts a life-threatening illness and is refused further treatment by the hospital, Ravn abandons the established healthcare system and continues treating her in secret. Aided by Leif, a corrupt civil defence worker and doomsday prepper, Ravn finds himself forced into creating an illegal clinic deep below ground in central Oslo, treating Leif's wide network of contacts from the underworld. While Leif believes it is only a matter of time before society collapses, Ravn hopes for a miracle and that love will prevail. However, in his search to find a cure for Vilma, Ravn is forced to compromise both his ethics and morals.
