- SynopsisHollywood, 1969, a land of myths, beauty, and monsters. Vikar (James Franco) a wannabe filmmaker with big dreams arrives in LA only to unwittingly attract the attention of homicide investigator Detective Slim (Danny McBride). Eventually finding his way to the film studios, he lands a job as apprentice to the seasoned editor Dotty Langer (Jacki Weaver) and meets Viking Man (Seth Rogen) who introduces him to the intense world of filmmaking and the dark underbelly of showbusiness.
As his involvement in the creative process deepens, so does his fascination with a tragic screen goddess named Soledad (Megan Fox) much to the dismay of bigshot producer Rondell.
